From time to time during the year, Broadway House is used for "special events". These are some of them -
Christmas Party - held in the week before Christmas - a free party to all visitors between 2pm and 4pm. Savory and Sweet things to eat, including mince pies and tea and a glass of sherry. A raffle/prize draw to round off the afternoon. The Charity's President - The Mayor of Felixstowe - comes to join in the fun and to wish everyone a "Happy Christmas".
Maundy Thursday - is "hot-cross bun" and Easter Draw day in Broadway House. Visitors are offered a free hot cross bun and the chance to buy raffle tickets for our Easter Draw which takes place mid afternoon.
"Birthday" summer tea party - to commemorate the opening of the original Senior Citizens Centre in 1975 we hold a summer tea party when all visitors are served tea and cakes. A traditional "raffle" is held to round off the afternoon.
2016 we combined our summer tea party with the national celebrations of HM Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday celebrations - see photographs below.
